The IEC Foundation is committed to investing in tomorrow’s electricians. One way this is accomplished is in the annual awarding of scholarships to applying students who demonstrate drive, dedication, and leadership. This year, 149 students across 21 chapters received funds to fund their education as they pursue their dream careers and fuel the future workforce. IEC Foundation is grateful to scholarship sponsors ATP, Eaton, Graybar, and Wesco.

“At ATP, we believe in empowering the next generation of skilled tradespeople through access to quality education,” says Scott C. Bloom, director of partnership development. The ATP Group, Inc. “Supporting the IEC Foundation scholarships aligns with our mission to provide meaningful learning opportunities and strengthen the electrical industry we proudly serve. These scholarships help break down financial barriers and open doors to rewarding careers in the electrical trade. By supporting them, we are helping build the next generation of highly skilled, safety-conscious professionals that will meet the growing demands of our industry. The workforce of tomorrow depends on access to education today, and we are honored to contribute to that effort.”

“Graybar supports IEC Foundation scholarships because of our commitment to the long-term success of the electrical industry,” says Lily Reasoner, Graybar marketing manager. “IEC Foundation scholarships help to ensure the next generation of electrical contractors is well-trained and equipped to meet the demands of the future, ultimately benefiting both the electrical industry and the communities it serves. As an employee-owned company, Graybar recognizes that people are vital to our industry’s long-term success. By supporting IEC Foundation scholarships, Graybar plays a role in attracting talent to our industry and contributes to the development of a skilled, knowledgeable workforce that is equipped to move our industry forward.”

“I received a Foundation scholarship a year ago during my first year of apprenticeship, and it’s been a real game changer for me. In the last year, I’ve really been able to increase my skills and succeed in my studies. The scholarship has been really helpful because I’ve been able to stress less about how I’m going to pay for my apprenticeship which allows me to go to work and focus on my training and learning and getting better at my job.”

“This third year has been pretty big for me. I’m learning in the classroom about grounding and bonding and motors and motor controls. I’m lucky enough to have an employer that appreciates the hard work I put in in the classroom and on the job sites so he is working with me to try to find jobs so I can learn on the job what I’m learning in the classroom. I’m looking forward to the next year and a half of learning and becoming a journeyman and then teaching my skills to the next generation.”
