LaNa Al-Amin is the Chief Executive Officer of the Independent Electrical Contractors Foundation (IECF), where she leads the organization’s strategic vision, national partnerships, workforce initiatives, and philanthropic efforts to strengthen the electrical industry and expand access to skilled trades careers. With more than 25 years of experience spanning education, nonprofit leadership, workforce development, and community engagement, she is committed to creating opportunities that empower individuals, strengthen communities, and build the future workforce.

Throughout her career, LaNa has worked at the intersection of education and workforce development, collaborating with industry leaders, educational institutions, employers, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations to develop innovative programs that remove barriers to employment and create meaningful career pathways. She is passionate about expanding access to apprenticeship opportunities, advancing career and technical education, and connecting dynamic populations with the skills and resources needed to achieve long-term success.

Under her leadership, IECF has expanded its national impact through strategic partnerships, scholarship programs, workforce readiness initiatives, disaster relief efforts, and community service projects that support both apprentices and the electrical industry. She has successfully cultivated relationships with leading corporations, foundations, and industry stakeholders to increase investment in workforce development while advancing IECF’s mission of building a stronger, more inclusive skilled trades pipeline.

Before joining IECF, LaNa dedicated much of her career to education, serving students, families, and communities in a variety of leadership roles. Her experience in education continues to shape her collaborative leadership style and her commitment to lifelong learning, innovation, and access to opportunity.
